Time for another Top Tip.........
Think dog! And develop a positive relationship.
Don't expect your puppy to instantly become the perfect pet. Patience is going to be needed whilst she learns your house rules, and the basics of obedience. Most humans try to teach dogs their values. But we are only capable of understanding canine values, and learning on a canine basis.
Approximately 85% of all domestic dog behaviour can be attributed to their direct descendant: The Grey Wolf.
Wolves live in structured, hiearchal societies. Conflicts are rare because each member recognises and accepts their place. The dominant breeding pair are the natural leaders, and are at the top of this structure.
Not so long ago ideas on dog training often amounted to simply becoming its boss. Usually by bullying it in to submission. Don't be a boss. Instead become your puppies natural leader.
By making the effort to understand your pups thought processes, training your dog will become a positive and rewarding experience for both of you.
